to you, heartfelt resolutions
that never found way to the heart.
you, that got caught and starved
in the streets of a weekday,
or lost around a corner
which you did not turn.
and yet under the sun you departed,
and gates were opened
(specifically for you)
and heart’s stony tower was in sight.
well, you were seeing right

Must be your other you. Am I right?
It's mostly the same :-)
wow!
Is that about someone slipping away?
I don't think so :-) It's really about resolutions not finding their way to the heart! "you" means "the resolutions".
Maybe you were misled by "in sunshine you departed" but it was the resolutions who departed with heart's stony tower in sight.
BUT resolutions also slip away from us in a sense, so I guess you're also right.
Resolutions, as vows, are made to be broken. I know, for sure!
How do you know for sure?
